Voice inside my head!
« on: February 22, 2012, 06:21:47 AM »
Susan is talking to me most of the time. She is there, always there. Not all the time does she speak but she is there none the less. I cannot get her to stop no matter what I say to her. She is always saying such mean and unhelpful things at the worst of times. I want to shut her out, but the advise she gives is... well it is alot better than what I could come up with, expessally in the homework department. What to do, my family does not see her they just think it is some kind of joke but she is there, always there. Heck even I do not see her most of the time but there is sometimes that shifting in the corner of the eye when she speaks to me. As creepy as it is it is more of a figment in my imagination, I know that but still she will not stop. Sometimes I think she does it on purpose, to mess with me you know. Any advise on how to deal with her?

If Susan isn't real you might want to seek help. Could be just a thought process you have labeled to get by or could be something that needs addressing. I am not qualified to help you discover which it is. The fact that you know she isn't real is good the fact that you have named her might not be. She could be the equivalent of an imaginary friend you will out grow or something else. Find an expert and get some advice.

I do want you to know that you are not alone and a lot of people go through similar experiences. Best of luck.
